• Belongs to a family that has been a vital component of the Sangeet Gharana in Varanasi
• Eldest son of the Mishra family, representing the seventh generation of the traditional music master from Banaras Gharana
• Hails from a family deeply rooted in the Banaras Gharana, with a lineage that includes esteemed musicians such as Pt. Bachaou Mishra, Pt. Banshi Maharaj, and the late Pt. Navaratan Mishra
• His grandfather, Late Pt. Douji Mishra, was a great vocalist from the Banaras Gharana, contributing to the rich musical heritage of the family
